Planted Tank Substrate

What have you guys had the best luck with in planted tanks? Id prefer not to do soil just with how much i change my tank around, dont wanna constantly muck up the water. Hows Flourite? Eco Complete? Wanting to set up next tank fully planted have a nice light already just need to get my tank, fill er up and start cycling. just wanting to go with the easiest healthiest substrate for the plants as possible.

Depends on what you want to grow, high end light demanding rare plants with Co2 injection? Use eco complete. For everything else I just use plain gravel and two watts per gallon rule unless it's an extra tall tank.
