Itty Bitty Guppies
About 2 months ago I tried to start up a shrimp tank for ghost shrimp simply for breeding my own feeders. It failed spectacularly. When I went to get my ghost shrimp, the associate accidentally scooped up 2 guppy fry that were swimming around the tank and told me that they would just be freebies. Since then, all of my shrimp are long gone but the 2 little guppies remain! It's been a lot of fun to watch them grow up together and a few weeks ago they started developing some beautiful colors! I'm so excited to see how they will turn out. I'll try to get some pics but these little guys are quick and do not want to pose for camera shots. Maybe I should try a video instead!

Lol... it's funny how accidents like that are sometimes happy ones.

Haha I hope I don't get any more. I don't have room! Judging from some of their patterns and colors, I think both of them are males. Fingers crossed no multiplying!!!

If they do turn out to be an opposite sex pair you can always put a Betta or pretty much any other fish in that tank... and presto - babies disappear and the fish has fresh hors devours.

That tank (looks like maybe a 5 gallon?) looks like it's the perfect size for a betta....

Re: Itty Bitty Guppies
I have another male in a 5 gallon with a little African dwarf frog friend (With only 3 legs! Don't worry, he came that way) The tank the guppies are in is a 3.5 gallon. It's a perfect size for the 2 babies now but I have a slightly larger one I can move them to later so they can have some more space to swim around. I have plenty of other fish who would love to eat some baby guppies! I'm really wanting to start breeding some of my bettas soon so I think I'm going to use it for the nesting tank where the magic happens
