There is a nice park by Gina's house. It is located in the 300 block of Parkside St in Normal. Sorry, I do not see any signs with a name of the park on it. I will bring brats and hotdogs, everyone should bring what ever they want to drink and a side.

Let me know who will be there. Could we meet at 1:00? I will be there early in order to get the grill started.
If you know anyone that is interested in the club bring them along.

just a reminder--Champaign Area Fish Exchange Summer Auction will be held July 13, 2013 at the Urbana Civic Center 108 Water Street, Urbana, IL 61801. Doors open at 8am. Auction begins at 10:30am

Mark, that park is called Maxwell park. You have to reserve the pavilion area for cookouts. I checked the town of Normal parks and rec calendar and it doesn't look like it has been booked for Sunday the 14th yet. You might want to check into it a little more.

Brad (ex) saw this and reminded me we are going to his high school class reunion that weekend in Jacksonville. We'll be staying over Friday and Saturday, but coming back Sunday. He said we can make it if we get up and get ourselves going Sunday morning. So we are tentatively planning on coming, pending arrangements with the park. Was also almost rethinking the potato salad... won't have time to make it beforehand now. But we can pick up some store bought I guess on the way. Just let us know what you find out, Mark. If there's a time conflict, later would be better for us... but 1:00 is Ok too.

I'm rethinking the potato salad entirely now... not bringing it. Under the circumstances, I'm thinking something I don't have to make, or mess with a cooler to bring. Will have enough going on with the weekend out of town; and I can just imagine us getting a late start Sunday morning and then come screaming into town just in time for the meeting.  I'm thinking chips now.  

whats the verdict on the shelter? is this a go for sunday?

We are on.

I did not reserve the shelter but from what I can tell no one else did either. I will get their early and start the grill.

I hope we have a big turn out. Hope you can be there, invite a friend. This is a good time for anyone who gets on our forum to come and meet the gang.

If anyone has a friend that keeps fish please invite them.

ok mark we are in. we will bring a desert item of some sort. im not sure but I think my dad and stepmom from champaign will be coming too.
