I could make a joke in very poor taste here... but I won't.

breeding swallowtails
female swallowtails will pass on the gene to their offspring and must be bred to normal males since the swallowtails gonopodiums are deformed by the swallowtail structure of the fins. Gonopodium is specialized fin tissue, so it elongates along with all other fins.
Find the best young normal male of the type/color swallowtail you are breeding and use him on your best swallowtail females. Some of the offspring will be normal, but there should always be a percentage of swallowtails in each drop. It is ethical to tell somebody that you have swallowtail genes in the normal fish you part with from these drops, some people do not want swallowtail genes and will avoid them if possible. ( me for instance! LOL)
