Finally eggs!
I have a double tail plakat (short tailed) with a half moon female. They have eggs under the nest but I'm worried they might be bad eggs. Also they have been at it for two days so I'm not sure when to pull the female. Too soon and she could be eggbound. The other pair was the ones I hoped would breed but it seems the fancy halfmoon male is having trouble wrapping the female. It appears his fins are causing problems and she is really round so I'm worrying. How is everyone else doing?

A quick check before lights out revealed fry and the male was blowing them back into the next! I removed the female, she has a big chunk of her tail missing but is otherwise in good health!

My male built an impressive bubble nest today. I released the female into the tank a few hours ago. Let's see what happens next.

Any eggs?
Did your fish spawn Randy? What kind did you get? I found a good website on color and genetics, helps you figure out what the fry may turn out like.

I got a red veil tail male, and a different female than I first introduced. She is a white bodied red finned crown tail. I don't think they spawned yet because the female is still, well, fluffy.
