Toad in my driveway

So I'm sitting in my garage watching the storm from last night (7/25), and this toad kind of hops out of nowhere and sits and stares at me.

I took him in and will take him to the lake this week.

I found a toad in the Jewel parking lot one night, afraid that it would get squashed I took it home and put it in my garden with an overturned flower pot. I've seen it every spring since when I go and plant my shallots and I've seen baby toads in my yard now which is a good sign there are no pesticides! Why would you take a toad to a lake? Its not a frog. Also they don't eat my outdoor fish so it's a plus. I like having them around.

I just thought it would be more comfortable where it was wetter and not so many people around.
