CITAC Flyers and Cards
I thought we could keep tabs here which places and when we put up or left the CITAC flyers/cards. If anyone needs some (or more) to distribute, they can post that in this thread too. Or any questions, concerns, ideas, etc.
I posted/left flyers with 20 cards each today at:
PETCO - Veterans Pkwy, Normal
Humane Society of Central Illinois - Kay's Dr., Normal
Hawthorne Park Animal Care Center - Pamela Dr. (off of Towanda Barnes Rd.), Bloomington
Laborers Local #362 - Fox Creek Rd., Bloomington
I plan to distribute some more and keep some in my van, ready to go, so I'll have some if passing by a place I think would be a good spot while I'm out and about.

Bloomington Library
Don't know why I didn't think of it until after the meeting... but I went back in and checked with the library about putting up a flyer with cards. The guy at the checkout desk said things like that have to be checked and cleared with the "something" (can't remember the word/name) manager. He gave me her name and number and i will call her about it.

Appears we are on a roll now with the flyers and cards.
I'll get some more card stock to David to print.

I put flyers with cards at Four Paws Pet Salon on the square and at Covenant Animal Clinic, the local veterinary clinic.

Contributions for flyer cardstock
How many members would be willing to contribute $5.00 each to purchase some card stock for the flyers and cards? So far, I've donated the card stock but don't want to use up all I have. It wouldn't be enough to do much more anyway. I've printed some, but thankfully David can get them printed at a great price!
I'm looking at ordering 2 reams (250 count each) of THIS cardstock at $11.68 each, for a total of $23.36 for 500 sheets. I have Amazon Prime so shipping would be free. From what I can discern from the different paper weights, this cardstock is not as thick as what we've been using, but economical and nonetheless perfect for our needs. I truly feel regular paper just won't cut it. It takes 3 sheets to make one flyer with 20 cards. This would give us enough for 166 flyers with cards. I believe the $23.36 total investment would be well worth it.
It may seem like a lot of flyers, but once everyone starts putting them around they seem to go fast. We could go with only one ream for $11.68; But I think it's worth it, and in our best interest, to go ahead and get enough to make up a good amount now at one time - while we have access to the low cost printing, for continuity, and avoid having to ask and gather contributions again if/when we run out. Extras will also be good for already having, in future, without going through all this again. And I think $5.00 each (or per married couple) is a reasonable contribution. It would only take 5 of us to cover it (with $1.64 left over).
What do you think? If we get enough "yays" I can order now and then collect the donations at the next meeting.

Sounds good
$5.00 is fine. Count me in. Are you sure you don't need the money sooner?

2 down... 3 to go...
Thanks, Pops. And $20.00 (besides my own $5.00 contribution) won't sink me before the next meeting, but thank you for asking/checking. I'd rather go ahead and get the cardstock ordered asap so we can get it to David to print, and then hopefully have some together to distribute at the next meeting.

Sure! Thanks, Steve. You can mail to:
Becky Slightom

Bloomington, IL 61705
I'm fairly certain we will get enough donations to make the order. I'll likely be ordering soon if no one has any objections.
