Gina, do you have any sanke swordtails left? If so, I would like to buy a few.

Swords
Sure do, just let me know when. I'm busy this weekend but next week in the evenings is fine unless you want to wait till the next club meeting. You want two males and a female or two females and a male?

Gina and Brad, here's an update on the swords and Shellie's I got from you guys. They are all doing great. Both female swords have had fry and they seem to be thriving. Brad, you forgot to mention that the Shellie's would rearrange the landscape of my aquarium. I think they have moved every piece of gravel and lifted half the plants in my aquarium. It's fine though, they are fun little fish. I'm enjoying them all.

shellies
Brad says $15 for six and he can bring them to the meeting this weekend. I thought you were only going to keep discus?

That sound good,
I am planning on keeping discus but in each tank I would like another type of a smaller fish. I think a group of shellies with white sand and shells would go good with the discus.

Discus and shellies not a good match
Mark, just thought I'd point out that shellies would not do well in the soft water and high temps that the discus require. Shellies like hard water, ours are probably at a 7.2ph and low to mid 70's for temps. I would not go lower than that for ph. If you are thinking of other fish for discus, most people keep rams or other small apistos.
