checking the info at the water department where i'll be moving and found they treat lake water with heavy filtration then use chlorine to kill
biobes and finally treat with bisodium sulphate to neutralize the chlorine. anybody know about bisodium sulphate and fish? I'm clueless!

Re: water quality bisodium sulphate
I think it's sodium bisulphate. Its used in food as a preservative and i use it in wine making to lower PH.
I'd guess the water co uses it to kill pathogens and lower PH.
It's in fish food so I can't imagine it being a problem.

well, on the website they describe it that way, don't know... i'll have to go talk to them when I get moved up there.
hmmm fish might end up "pickled" if we follow twocats' suggestion!
thanks for the input!
