If you get to aquabid (half moon bettas) there is a black dumbo male for sale for $1,000.00 opening bid! It was on page 4 last I looked. I hadn't seen anything that expensive before.

While I was there (Aquabid) I decided to check prices on Panda cories out of curiosity. Coincidentally just happened to see a group of 10 of a different species of cory on the same page with an opening bid of $2500.00. Huh, again!
I guess people that are very serious about breeding rare species account for the bids? Just find it hard to imagine someone paying that much.

I don't get it...maybe if I had lots of money? I've seen koi go for those prices but they were imported and their lifespan is typically 20+ years so maybe but for a betta or a group of rare cories, I dunno?
