Fluidized Bed Filters Empty Fluidized Bed Filters

Post  DavidZ Fri Jul 06, 2012 11:43 am

I've been looking into replacing the triclke filter in the fishroom for a fluidized bed filter. Anyone used these before?

Seems to be mixed opinions on the web.

I bought one of these fluidized bed filters http://www.amazon.com/Fluidized-Bed-Filter-FB300-Lifegard/dp/B001EHAZ9Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1346866703&sr=8-2&keywords=fluidized+bed+filter from Jehmco a while back and put it in a few weeks ago. Don't think its completely 'seasoned' yet, but I really like the way it works.

I might need a second one to handle the volume of water I have, but this one is fine so far as long as I keep up the water changes. Going to give this one few more weeks to level out then decide.
