2nd Tank Help Empty 2nd Tank Help

Just getting back into aquariums again after a 10 year hiatus. Started back small with a 10 gallon tank I found for free on craigslist. Just went out and got a 30 gallon tank. I was pressing my luck by mixing 2 small cichlids with some cory cats and a few barbs but so far so good. I'm trying to decide if I want to pull all the non-aggressive into the 30 gallon or "waste" the larger tank on the aggressive fish that will limit my other options. Obviously the 10 gallon will only allow me so much fish capacity and I'm likely at the limit now if it weren't for complete overkill with my filtration. Please advise what you would all do as I can't come up with a winning argument for either side.

I would put the cichlids in the 30. They would out grow the 10 in no time.

Always interested but trying to convince the wife there is value in fish tanks and with the new purchase, I'm going to hold off on bringing another one in the house. Once I'm ready I'm assuming this would be an empty tank and I'd be on the hook for hood, lighting, filtration, heating, etc.? Either way we may have to put it on the back burner, but just curious. Thanks either way! If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to get rid of it?

It is just the tank, I am offering to give it to you because I am being nice. It is one of three that I use outside every year.

Awful kind gesture. Let me get back to you in a bit once the dust settles. If I add another tank I'd like to do it right and get a larger filtration system. Right now, I'm all in-tank filters with various media bags for my needs.
