Has anyone had this plant and are they easy to care for?

I've not had them, but from what I've read, they are very picky about the parameters and nutrients.

I've had them on and off, usually start off growing like crazy and then go dormant for a while. I've not had much luck when they come back from their dormancy they look smaller and week and sort of fizzle out. Beautiful plant.

I purchased one after I felt my tank was solidly set up and had been running for about 3 months. I put it in and it died in 1 week haha. I think I may have put too much of the bulb under the substrate though. Great looking plant but I am afraid I will never have great success with it.
